– Osteopathic Physician (DO) –
Elyas Parsa
California Osteopathic Medical Board License: 20A12334
Board-licensed Osteopathic Physician and Surgeon in the State of California
Elyas Parsa, DO is a Family Medicine physician and the founder of Mind Balance Flow.
He spent fifteen years in every corner of medicine — county hospital, emergency room, street medicine with unhoused populations, a residency program he ran for seven years, a Gender Health Clinic he built in a community that had nothing. He traveled to New Zealand and Thailand when medicine was needed. He has been in every room the profession has to offer.
What fifteen years in those rooms taught him: conventional treatment can stabilize a person. It rarely heals them.
He became convinced that the most meaningful shifts in human suffering happen at a level most medicine doesn’t reach — in the nervous system, in the body’s stored memory, in moments where ordinary thinking pauses long enough for something else to move through. He spent years understanding how those moments work and how to create them safely. He trained in Narrative Medicine at Columbia University. He completed a ten-day silent Vipassana retreat. He has a sustained Buddhist practice. He has done the inner work alongside the clinical work, because he believes you cannot guide someone through territory you haven’t walked yourself.
Mind Balance Flow is what that conviction built.
It is a practice designed for people who have followed every conventional path and still aren’t well. Ketamine therapy and Spravato are offered not as a last resort but as a precise tool — for neuroplasticity, for reaching what talk therapy and medication left untouched, for a version of healing that goes to the root.
He believes medicine is at the beginning of a major shift in how it understands consciousness, the nervous system, and what recovery actually looks like. He built this practice ahead of that shift. He is not waiting for the field to catch up.
He was born in Iran and left as a refugee at age six. He built his life across three countries. He speaks English, Dutch, Farsi, and Romanian. He knows what it means to need something that doesn’t have a name yet — and to find it anyway.
Outside the clinic, he trains Brazilian jiu-jitsu, fishes, and spends time in nature. He finds the same thing in all three: the moment when the mind gets quiet and the body remembers what it knows.
